• Motivation is the energy of life, prompting us both to start and to stop
doing things.

• Important basic concepts in motivation are needs, drives, motives,


goals, desires and instincts.

• Mind and behaviour driving us to get things done and act in a


particular way

• It is what causes you to act, whether it is getting a glass of water to
