• Mother Sagrada Devi &Father Debendranath Tagore.
• Lost his mother in child.
• Father was traveler so he was mostly raised by servants .

• Went to England became barrister to fullfil father wish.
• Joined University of London to study law but he dropped

• He had received two awards and honours. In 1913, he was
awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, for the translated
version of his Gitanjali. Thereafter, in 1915, he was knighted
by King George.
