When we hear good news, we
want to tell other people about
it.
Like…
* when somebody gives birth
to
triplets
* a friend meets and shakes
hands with president of
But the most exciting news of all time is the story
about how Jesus died on the cross for our sins and
rose victoriously from the grave on the third day.
Once we understand how amazing the gospel is, we
should tell everyone about Jesus.
Earlier in the week we read the Great Commission
from Matthew’s Gospel.
Today we read the same thing from Luke’s Gospel.
 In this account,
Jesus said He was
sending the disciples
to all nations but
that they first had to
wait until the Holy
Spirit came upon
them to give them
power.
Then, filled with the
Holy Spirit, they
would be able to
spread the good news
all across the world
without fear.

What did Jesus want the disciples to tell people?

Jesus wanted them to tell the story of His death

and resurrection an to announce that, because
of what Jesus did, we can be forgiven of our
sins.

the Holy Spirit you sent for us to
spread your gospel.
