During Pandemic in Mining Organization

• INTRODUCTION:
• The major purpose of conducting this study is to evaluate the relationship between work from
home environment, job satisfaction and employee performance level in Malaysia's mining
sector. During COVID-19 the mining industry faced great challenges as the major part of the
sector had to work from home .Due to COVID-19 they had to change the routine of the
employees to reduce COVID cases. The administrative job roles are required to work from home
and the technical job roles will have their duty roster when to come to site. Due to the nature of
mining activity, which is quite risky, the motivation system in mining organization differs from
that in other sectors. Employee's dissatisfaction and motivation leads to lower performance
(Janovac et al., 2018) which has a negative impact on business success. As a result, the purpose
of this study is to motivate employees from working from home in Peark mining company.WHF
has become an effective and simple way to create a productive working environment without
having to attend to the physical workplace (Shareena & Mahammad Shahid,2020).
PROBLEM STATEMENT:

• The paragraph discusses the impact of teleworking, which became popular in many industries but
is challenging to implement in mining due to the need for on-site maintenance activities. During
Covid-19, regulations allowed administrative employees to work from home, while technical
staff followed a rotation duty roster. The research aims to examine the effects of this new work
arrangement on job performance and employee satisfaction in the mining sector .
RESEARCH QUESTIONS:

1. What is the level of employees' satisfaction when work from home?·


2. What is the level of employees' work performance level when working from home?
3. Is there any significant relationship of connectivity towards employees satisfaction and
employees'work performance level when working from home?
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES:

• To study the level of employees' satisfaction during undergo work from home period in
mining organization.

• To study the level of the employees' work performance level during work from home
period in mining organization.

• To identify the relationship between employees' satisfaction and their work performance
level during work from home in mining organization.
THEROTICAL FRAMEWORK:

• The total time duration is 4 months


•Selection of topic: 2 weeks
•Data collection: 2 months
•Data analysis: 1 month
•Result : 16 days

• Our total budget was around 2 lac which comprised of following expenses:
• TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION: 100,000
• PRINTING AND DISTRIBUTION: 25,000
• PUBLICATION FEE:25,000
• SOFTWARE AND TECHNOLOGY: 50,000
