Religion Part 3:

Islam
The next important religion is
Islam.
Its followers are called Muslims.
Here are many Muslim people.
Muslims believe in one god,
called Allah.
Their holy book
is called
the Koran
(also spelled
Qur’an)
and their most holy place is
Mecca,
in Saudi Arabia.
There are two kinds of Muslims—
Shiite and Sunni.

Shiites Sunnis
Islam is the main religion of the
Middle East, north Africa, and
Indonesia. (Shiites green, Sunnis red)
 Muslims are
supposed to
pray five times
per day.
All three religions we’ve discussed,
Judaism, Christianity, and Islam,
believe that, after we
die, if we are good,
we can go to
Heaven.
 And some people believe that
very, very bad people go to Hell,
a terrible, very hot place.
