Ekecheiria
The Olympic Truce, or Ekecheiria, was
an ancient Greek tradition where
conflicts would cease to allow safe
travel for athletes and spectators to the
Olympic Games. This practice aimed to
promote peace and unity among the city-
states of ancient Greece during the
games.
 CITIUS, ATIUS, FORTIUS
The Olympic motto, Citius, Altius, Fortius,
a Latin expression meaning "Faster,
Higher, Stronger" was proposed by
Pierre de Coubertin in 1894 and has
been official since 1924
