When writing the conclusion, it needs to follow these general rules: 1. Write the conclusion in clear and simple language. 2. Do not simply reiterate the results or the discussion. 3. Indicate opportunities for future research, as long as one hasn't already done so in the discussion section of the thesis, 4. The function of the thesis conclusion is to restate the main argument. It reminds the reader of the strengths of the main argument(s) and reiterates the most important evidence supporting those argument(s). One needs to consider the following points to help ensure the conclusion is appropriate: 1. If the argument or point of the study is complex, one may need to summarize the argument for the reader 2. If, prior to the conclusion, one has not yet explained the significance of the findings or if one is proceeding inductively, use the end of the thesis to describe the main points and explain their significance. 3. Move from a detailed to a general level of considerations that returns the topic to the context provided by the introduction or within a new context that emerges from the data.
