• Vicks is an American brand of over-the-counter
medications owned by the American companies
Procter & Gamble and Helen of Troy Limited.
Vicks manufactures NyQuil and its sister
medication, DayQuil.

• The Vicks brand also produces formula 44 cough
medicines, cough drops, Vicks VapoRub, and a
number of inhaled breathing treatments.
• For much of its history, Vicks products were
manufactured by the family-owned company
Richardson-Vicks, Inc., based in Greensboro, North
Carolina. Richardson-Vicks, Inc., was eventually sold
to Procter & Gamble in 1985.
• Procter & Gamble divested the Vicks VapoSteam
U.S. liquid inhalant business and sold it to Helen of
Troy in 2015.
• Vicks VapoRub is an ointment company known for
its pain and cold relieving salve.
• Every product from the Vicks company emphasis on
providing relief from common cold symptoms and
joints or muscles pain.
• This is only applicable for external use and is
recommended to use on the back, chest and on the
throat for getting maximum effects of the
ointments.
• For many years, Vicks VapoRub has been a critical

• Company's core business of manufacturing and
dealing in ayurvedic and medicinal preparations.

• Established in 1910 by Pattani, Prime Minister of the
erstwhile state of Bhavnagar with Zandu Bhatt,
Zandu went public in 1919 with the issuance of
stocks.
• The company derives its name from Vaidhya Zandu
Bhattji, the original founder of the firm named Zandu
Pharmaceuticals.
• He was a renowned Vaidhya not only of Gujarat but
India in late 19th century and early 20th century. The
Vaidhya family's stake has been sold to Emami in
2008 for ₹730 crores.
• Zandu balm, has been a market leader in the
category of balm for more than 100 years with a
market share of more than 40%.
• To cater customer needs, it has been innovating
and launching new products such as non-sticky
balm, gel, roll on and spray.

• Amrutanjan was founded in 1893 by journalist and
freedom fighter, Kasinathuni Nageswara Rao.
• He popularized the balm by distributing it free-of-
cost at music concerts.

along with Amrutanjan on the lid of its most well-
known product, the pain balm.
• In 1936, Amrutanjan became a public limited
company with the name Amrutanjan Limited.

manufactures and sells ayurvedic products and
fruit-based beverages.
• The company offers products for pain
management, congestion management, women’s
hygiene, beverages, and other indications.
• It also offers corn caps for corn removal on the foot.
• Amrutanjan’s product portfolio includes balm
massage, roll-on balm, body pain cream; joint
muscle spray, body ache gel, cold rub, cough syrup,
