QUESTIONS
ACCORDING TO ENCYCLICAL
OF JOHN PAUL II,
LABOREM EXERCENS (ON HUMAN WORK).

Work as a sustained human

activity for a purpose. Work can
be manual or intellect, paid or not
paid, light or heavy.
Work plays a
significant and necessary role
in our universal call to
become human persons.
In the Book of GENESIS, God created the
heavens and the earth, and all life in six days, while He
rested on the seventh day.
God is a working God.

God created us through his image, and the likeness.

We need to work for it. He wanted us to work too.
To work means to be like God.
Do they work too?
Work is primarily an act of
human beings. In work,
intelligence, and free choice are
involved. These characteristics of work
point to the fact that only human
persons work.
VISITOR
WHY DO PEOPLE WORK?
•Earn a living
and provide
for our
material
needs. This
especially true for
the heads of the
families.
Express and develop
ourselves as unique
creatures of God. It is
through work that we make
use of our talents, energies,
resources and time, and
thereby achieve a sense of
fulfilment.

Serve our
community.
We can contribute to
the well-being of our
community by being a
student, teacher,
doctor, and so on.

Presentation…
•We understand work to be the aspect
of our life that serves not just as a
source of livelihood, but also a
symbol of social status and,
in a sense, self-worth.
What if,
no one
will
work?
Is it right to condemn
those who do not have
work? If yes, why? If
not, why?
What will be your work
influence/
contribution to the
Church and nation?
What values do you
need in achieving
your dreams?
Do you have
responsibility to
others?
PANANAGUTAN

• KORO:
Tayong lahat ay may pananagutan sa isa’t

IF YOU ARE TIRED,
JUST REST! BUT NEVER
QUIT!
Then God blessed the seventh
day and made it holy, because
on it he rested from all the
work of creating that he had
done.
