Stand like you mean it. According to a study a proper


posture can have a positive effect and reduce fatigue and
decrease self-focus.

2.Practice Positive-Thinking
Use affirmations such as “today is going to be a great day”
Focus on the good things no matter how small they are.
Do something nice to someone like a simple “hi, hello”

3.Take a walk in Nature

Reconnecting with nature reduces stress and calms your nerves. It can lower concentrations of
cortisol, lower pulse rate and blood pressure. It boosts your energy levels. When you really don’t
feel like going for a walk, the best thing to do is go for a walk! Fresh air will reawaken your
brain.

4.Hug someone
Everybody loves being hugged, and it’s not just because of the
warm feeling, you get from a good hug. It goes deeper than this to
your hormonal level. Hug therapy affects your entire body to an
extent scientists claim is comparable to the effects of some drugs.
Even the most trivial instance of touch can help you deal with one
or more emotional issues to help you see clearly and deal with life
from the point of strength.
Research has shown that hugging can be an effective way of
treating stress, depression, anxiety, loneliness and certain medical
conditions. The benefits of hugging come from the power of
touch.

5. Spend time with your furry friend


Among pet owners, a strong majority (86%) said their pets have a
mostly positive impact on their mental health. Dog owners (87%)
and cat owners (86%) were equally likely to say so, while other pet
owners (62%) were less likely. A strong majority (88%) of pet
owners said they consider their pets a part of their family.
Those who said their pets positively impact their mental health
cited several key benefits, including:
•Help reduce stress and anxiety (69%).
•Provide unconditional love and support (69%)
•Offer companionship (69%).
•Provide a calming presence (66%).
•Are true friends (63%).

6. Excersise
People who exercise regularly tend to do so because it gives them an enormous sense of well-being.
They feel more energetic throughout the day, sleep better at night, have sharper memories, and feel
more relaxed and positive about themselves and their lives. And it’s also a powerful medicine for
many common mental health challenges. It also relieves stress, improves memory, helps you sleep
better, and boosts your overall mood.

7. Get enough sleep


Getting a good night’s sleep is incredibly important for your health. In fact, it’s just as important as
eating a balanced, nutritious diet and exercising. Good sleep has been shown to improve problem-
solving skills and enhance memory performance in both children and adults.

8. Keep a Gratitude Journal

Gratitude links to increase happiness, mental health


and improve well being according to a
psychologist. It is best to keep a gratitude journal
every morning you’ll write some thing that you are
thankful for no matter how grant or simple even till
the end of the day.
