Depth and Door/Window

Schedules
Group 3
Schedule of Windows and Doors
A schedule of windows and doors is a list of
all the windows and doors that will be
needed for a building.

A schedule contains the size, material,

colour, ratings, frame type, number, and
style of each door and window to be used.

A schedule is important because it shows

all the complex information about a
door/window conveniently and concisely.
Difference between schedule of Windows and
Doors
The main difference between Window and
Door schedules is the components listed.

Door schedules include, door type, door

size, frame details, door hardware, fire
rating, etc.

Window schedules includes window type,

window size, frame details, glazing type,
fire rating, etc.
Depth
In building design, depth is the distance
from the front to the back of the building’s
floorplate or the usable area.

This is essential for buildings that plan on

letting in a lot of natural light and good
ventilation.

The depth of a building also decides how

much space is in a building and how much
you can put inside it.
Depth
More depth means worse ventilation and
less natural light, but less depth means less
space and functionality.

It is essential to find the perfect depth for

your building to maximize natural light and
ventilation while maintaining efficient
space planning.
