The torrid zone is the largest thermal zone and is located
between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn.
The Temperate Zone is located between Tropic of
Cancer and Arctic Circle in the northern hemisphere and
between Tropic of Capricorn and Antarctic Circle in the
southern hemisphere.

 Frigid zone
The frigid zone lies between the Arctic circle and the
North Pole 90 degree north in the Northern Hemisphere
and between the Antarctic Circle and the South Pole 90
degree south in the southern hemisphere.In the north, ,it
is called the north Frigid zone and in the south, it is
known as the South Frigid zone.This zone receives
slanted Sundays , that is , low intensity of sunlight.As a
result the area experiences an extremely cold climate.
