Micro & Macro Goal setting

Focusing of the smallest of the smallest picture

Everything can and should be broken down
We are stood at the bottom of an unbuilt staircase, our goal is at the top. The only way we will be
able to reach our goal is if we build the staircase to lead us there.

To do this we must set ourselves smaller, more obtainable (more within our reach) goals that will
each time take us one step closer to the top.

Each micro goal is a building block to our macro goal. Each macro goal is a building block to
success.
Setting Macro goals is identifying your purpose.
Setting Micro goals is identifying how to act on purpose to achieve your
purpose.
The monthly path builder
• Identify your main goal(s)
• Mind map/delve deeper and find out things that you know you could (if you work hard enough,
learn enough and are relentless enough with) help you to achieve your main goals.
• Identify things that you know you can do to help you to achieve your purpose.
• Identify those 5 smaller goals
• Set a plan of how to achieve each individual smaller goals

Achieve your micro goals and automatically you will achieve your
macro goals
Examples of micro goals
• Design and make posters
• Film and edit promo videos
• Organise your ‘Instagram haircuts’
• Take photos
• Buy props
• Learn & do makeup/special effects
• Do haircuts in unusual places
• Film day to day cuts
• Get client feedback
• Follow the 10/10/10 daily plan
• Find & search for better hashtags
• Find more repost pages to tag

The list goes on and on and on. Literally anything and everything that will help you to achieve your
purpose, to achieve your macro goal.

All micro goals will be fully broken down during both our photography & content creation and further
social media training modules.
