Role of AI for Disabled Persons

We as humans are blessed with 5

senses, namely touch, sight, hearing,
smell, and taste. These enable us to
sense the environment around us. With
the help of our legs, we could move
around.
However, not everyone is fortunate
enough. There are a lot of people with
disabilities, some cannot see things,
some cannot hear things, some don’t
have arms to interact, legs to move
around. Such people face difficulties in
their daily lives.
When medical procedures cannot help
them, it is a question whether
technological solutions could improve
their lives?
 Role of AI for Disabled Persons

AI can give disabled people more independence and freedom, provide

greater access to content and communications, offer emotional support
and even help discover, treat or cure health conditions.

The most common form of AI is using smart home technology. With the use of smart home apps and
smart speakers such as Alexa, Google and Siri, you’re open to accessing countless home appliances and
online features.

You’ll have the ability to control things like lights, blinds, curtains, sockets, and heating. Also, you can
use smart speakers to access a variety of features such as reminders, to-do lists, shopping lists, timers,
music, audiobooks, podcasts, games and much more.
 Eg, NEURALINK IN HOSPITALS
• It is specially being used in hospital for special abled persons. Introduce by
one of the famous company like ‘NEURALINK’ by Elon Musk.

Basically, it’s a small chip that fits in your mind and allows your
brain to actually control devices near you.

• He had accident eight years ago and was paralyzed whole bottom from
his shoulders.
