Luke 9:39-56

The
Visitation of
Mary
The two

giants
of
Faith
Zechariah
– the husband
of St.
Elizabeth
John the Baptist – the
man whose mission is
“Make ready a
people prepared for
the Lord”.
Luke 1:17
Luke 1:33 “The Son
of the Most High. “

Luke 1:34 Mary ask,

“how can this be since
I have no knowledge
of any man?”
Luke 1:35 The angel
respond to Mary saying
“The Holy Spirit will
come upon you?”

Luke 1:36 The angel told

her the “Your cousin
Elizabeth has conceived a
Son.”
1. Mary’s journey to the hill country of Judea
embodies her belief in the Angel.
2. Filled with the Holy Spirit,
Elizabeth utters words of
blessing to Mary.

Luke 1:42 “Blessed are you

among women and blessed is
the fruit of Thy Womb.
Mary has a living faith- a real faith that
manifest so that all the world can see it.
This is the faith that made Mary walk 3 full
days of journey on foot.
This is the faith that 33 years keeps her at
the foot of the cross watching as her own
son, growls and dies in pain and misery.
That is true faith.
That makes Mary “She who believe”. A
believer par excellence.
• How does this belief in that promise
shape your everyday life?
• How does it inform what you
prioritize?
• How you spend your money?
• How do you spend your time?
• Who do you spend your time with?
• How do you treat others? How do you
speak to others?
• What do you put in your body?
• What do you do in your body?
• What do you listen to?
• What do you watch?
That is living faith.
Mary’s living faith
is what made
Elizabeth rejoice.

That kind of faith

that makes other
people rejoice too.
“Humbly” - when
Elizabeth heard Mary’s
voice, she immediately
overcome by the sense
of unworthiness.
Humility
We begin to
humbly
welcome
people like
what
Elizabeth did
to Mary.
Welcome those
people who believe in
the fulfillment of
God’s promises and
those people who bear
the Messiah in their
lives.
Those who have become Sober in some form of
addictions.
How can I accept this person in my life?
How can I support her?
How can I help her?
How can I learn from her?
