PSYCHOPATHOLOGY AND WELL-BEING


B.A. (Hons) Psychology SEM V
Brief Syllabus

 This course is designed to introduce students to the study of human behavioral


disorders
 Topics include behaviors ranging from functional to dysfunctional, the principles of
psychological assessment and the professionals involved in the assessment
process and the methods they use
 Covers psychological, biological, and sociocultural approaches to understanding
human behavior
COURSE OUTCOMES: What to expect?

At the end of the course, you should be able to:


 CO1: Understanding the historical context of abnormality, differentiating between the
concepts of abnormality and normality
 CO2: Developing familiarity with the current diagnostic
 CO3: Developing an insight into the general causal factors of psychopathology and
adopting a psycho-social framework
 CO4: Developing sensitivity towards individual and cultural diversity when thinking about
psychopathology
