CASE BACKGROUND

• Jamie's Market is a specialty supermarket chain located in northern


California.
• To accommodate the increased customers, Jamie's Market decided to
hire temporary workers.
• The market faced difficulties in finding qualified temporary workers,
resulting in the hiring of less skilled and unmotivated associates.
• Jessica Diaz, the assistant manager, took actions to address these
challenges, including terminating most temporary associates and
improving the hiring program.
• PREPARE A JOB SPECIFICATION FOR THE TEMPORARY
ASSOCIATE POSITION AT JAMIE'S MARKET.

• Position Title: Temporary Associate

• Department: Various departments within Jamie's Market (bakery, health and


beauty, fresh produce, etc.)

• Job Summary: Is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and


assisting customers in their assigned department. The position requires
maintaining knowledge of current culinary trends related to the department
and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.

• Key Responsibilities:
-Assist customers with locating merchandise in their assigned department.
