WHO IS KING TUTANKHAMUN?

 Born during ancient Egypt’s 18th Dynasty

 Also known as King Tut

 King Amenhotep IV, is Tut’s father

 Worship a sun god called the Aten.

 In honor of the sun deity, he changed his own name to Akhenathen


and named his son Tutankhaten

 After the father’s death, Tut ascended to power

 Tut also changed his name to Tutankhamun, which meant the “living
image of Amun,” the Egyption god of the air

 He married a woman named Ankhesenamun


As king, Tut have participated in
i. religious ceremonies and festivals
ii. hunting trips
iii. riding horses and drive chariots
iv. trained in military skills

 But Tut didn’t have a lot of time to rule

 He died at age 18

 Experts not sure the cause of his death. It might caused by


--a mosquito illness
--bone disease
--an injury from chariot crash
