CÂU TƯỜNG THUẬT

(Reported Speech) là câu thuật lại lời nói dưới dạng gián tiếp,
lời nói đó không đặt trong dấu ngoặc kép.

Câu trực tiếp Câu tường thuật

My mom said: “You did a great job My mom said I had done a great job the
yesterday”. day before.
1. Câu tường thuật ở dạng câu kể

S + say(s) /said + (that) + S + V(lùi thì)

S+ tells /told + 0 + (that) + S + V (lùi thì)
He said, “I like my room very much”.
.
He said that he liked his room very much.

He said to me “I like my room very much”.

.

He told me that he liked his room very much.

He said, “I like my room very much”.

He said that he liked his room
very much.
. Bước 2: Thay đổi thì

He said, “I like my room very much”.

“ I’ll help my mum with housework this



Câu hỏi đúng sai (Yes/No questions)

Dạng công thức câu tường thuật dạng câu hỏi này
thường bắt đầu bằng động từ to be hoặc trợ động từ. (do
,does, did, will…)

S + asked/wanted to know/wondered + if/whether + S + V

”Are you upset?” he asked

He asked if/whether I was upset.

We asked them: “Where are you going on Sunday afternoon?”
Câu hỏi nghi vấn (Wh-questions)
Đây là loại câu bắt đầu bằng các từ nghi vấn như Why, When, What, Who,
Which…

S + asked (+O)/wanted to know/wondered + Wh-words + S + V.

We asked them: “Where are you going on Sunday afternoon?”

->We asked them where they were going on Sunday afternoon

S+ told+ 0+(not) to+ vo ( ko cần lùi thì)

•She said to him, “Please pass me the salt.”
→ She told him to pass her the salt.
