ARISTOTLE ON FRIENDSHIP

Introduction:

 Friendship is a personal relationship that is

based on the concerns of each other’s for the
well-being and sake of the others.
 Friendship is undoubtedly important in our
lives as it contributes to the level of intimacy.
 In life we have special concerns about our
friends. (Kaliarnta, 2016)
Categorization of friendship:

 In light of Aristotle’s thought, my friendship is

categorized into different types.
 Like I have many friends that are meet
accidentally at someplace or location but
they don’t long last for three-four years.
 Moreover, I have some friends which are
based on mutual appreciation and concerns,
we both have some utility and pleasure.
(CONNOLLY, 2012)
QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF
FRIENDS
 Sometimes I thought
that when there I have
the number of friends
around me, then I feel
grateful, on the other
hand, I feel that so
having some many
friends will cause
problems in life.
(Payne, 2000)

 For instance, some of the friends give different

viewpoints, some talk about the negativity of
the society, some just do gossips. So I decided
that if I have few quality friends who have
positive energy and vibes as well as give proper
guidance to solve the issues. This is how we
remain positive and have good friends.
Mistaken about my friend
 Yes, I have been a
mistake about my
friend. I consider her as
my friend but first, she
doesn’t keep her words
as well as she doesn’t
stay in touch like my
other friends. (Schaub,
2004)

 Often days and months pass but she doesn’t
care to make the contact with me. She don’t
even call to me to know about my health.
 The fact is, most of us are very busy. Our
friends are far more forgiving than we think.
They may be battling similar fears. (Payne,
2000)
Visit to my friend

 Yes, I live with my friend. Once she invited me to

her home. I spend the whole day with her and
then sleep at her home.
 Her family is so nice and kind to me. We cooked
different dishes, enjoy ourselves and watch the
movie at night.
 It was a great experience and time I spend with
her. She is so caring. I share every secret and
issue with her because she understands me and
guides me.

 No, my friends are not willing to drink more
with me. We don’t drink.
 Humans are clearly social creatures, which is
why our bodies and brains evolve in ways that
help us draw closer to others. We make
friends and build friendships.
 Things will get better if the right friends are
selected. Friends offer values and morals to
improve themselves. (Sherman & Hawkey,
2015)
 Friendship is a good and precious relationship
maintained by each individual. It gives
strength and power to each person in certain
useful situations.
 I would make friendship a priority by giving
time to my friend and building a strong
relation with them.
