Eng Lit:
Read the poem and learn the spelling of words from it.
Social Studies:
Read the lesson thoroughly and learn the spelling of
new words.
Trees
by Harry Behn
Materials needed:

1. 2 sheets of interleaf file paper and a string for tying them together.
2. A cut out of a tree with the top green part and the brown trunk. The cut out
should be big enough to cover the full white side of the page.
3. Pictures or real objects (wherever possible, like pulses, cotton, jute, tea
leaves, spices etc. in small transparent pouches) for pasting.
4. 1 small tube of Fevicol
5. colour pencils

Work out Exercise 3 on Pg. 9 and Exercise 4 on Pg.10 in the


book itself.

Trees, as we all know, are very important for the survival of all living things.
Trees also add colour to the landscape. Today we see that trees are slowly
disappearing from our surroundings, which, perhaps, is leading to global
warming and the change in weather. Thus, it is important to save our forests and,
if possible, plant as many trees as possible
They have to be told that they will do such an activity for the
English Literature Project, after the summer vacation. The work
has to be done in class with materials brought from home.
