By R. Dev Dharsan Arcomm IOT MODULE Who Invented Gas Sensor
• The modern era of gas
detection began with the creation of the catalytic sensor by Dr. Oliver Johnson in 1926. Gas Sensor
• A gas detector is a device that detects the presence of gases in an
area, often as part of a safety system. • A gas detector can sound an alarm to operators in the area where the leak is occurring, giving them the opportunity to leave. Uses of Gas sensor
• They are commonly used to detect toxic or explosive gasses and
measure gas concentration. • Gas sensors are employed in factories and manufacturing facilities to identify gas leaks, and to detect smoke and carbon monoxide in homes. • Gas sensors vary widely in size (portable and fixed), range, and sensing ability Pin Description For Gas Sensor
• Vcc- This pin powers the
module, typically the operating voltage is +5V. • Ground- Used to connect the module to system ground. • Digital Out- Use this sensor to get digital output from this pin, by setting a threshold value using the potentiometer. • Analog Out- This pin outputs 0- 5V analog voltage based on the intensity of the gas.
