Domain and Range

What is Domain and Range?

Domain and range helps describe if a relationship is a function

Domain: A set of values that can be plugged into the function (inputs)

Range: The values taken by the function (outputs)

How can domain and range be found?
Domain and range can be found using a table, or graph but it can also be found
algebraically, using inequalities and the equation x=g(y).
Domain and Range with a graph
When domain and range is represented with a graph, there are also represented as
inequalities. Domain is written as _ ≤ x < _ and range is written as _ ≤ y < _.

X=3
So, the domain would be all real
numbers and the range is y ≥ 1.
