• Creativity – arts and other experiences that involve creative

complementing academic work elsewhere in the DP.

• Service – an unpaid and voluntary exchange that has a learning


benefit for the student. The rights, dignity and autonomy of all
those involved are respected.
ASSESSMENT
 final examinations and internal assessment undertaken by the
teacher to IB criteria and then externally moderated by the IB.

 All 4,000 examiners are ‘quality checked’ through a process of


moderation.

 The IB undertakes random inspections of schools


during exams.

 Results published on: July for May Exams

2. Marks awarded for each course range from 1 (lowest) to


7 (highest).

3. Diploma is awarded to students who gain at least 24
