 Types of gears:
• Gears: help the drivers to increase or decrease the speed. When the speed is
increased the car moves faster as it is decreased it moves slower.
• Compound gears: many machines use gears a very good example is a bycycle: it
has gears that makes it easy to cycle .
• Bycycles have a large front wheel which has a pedal attached, as well as different
wheel sizes on the back . When the pedal revolves the chain pulls round the gear
wheels and the bicycles moves.
• Compound gearase two gears connected together by a chain.
• Rack and pinion gear: consist of a gear named (pinion) and teeth called (rack).
• by rotating the gear(pinion)the rack (teeth)will move right and left that results of
the movement of the steering wheel that helps the car go left or right.
