What is Industrial Electronics
Definition of Industrial Electronics

From CHED Memorandum Order 101s:

This course teaches the theory and operation of solid-state devices
and control circuits for industrial processes; industrial control
applications; electronics instrumentation; transducers; data
acquisition system; power supply and regulator. It also covers
photo electronics, sensors, and instruments used in industrial
application. It includes variable-frequency drives, DC Motor,
servomotors and stepper motor drives; application of relay logic
circuits; and interfacing and programming of PLCs.
Definition of Industrial Electronics

From some random website:

Industrial electronics generally refers to the use of electronics for
power and control systems, outside of the field of
communications.
