1. TABLE NUMBER – each table should be numbered
properly for easy identification and further reference.
2. TITLE – a suitable title should accompany every table.
3. CAPTIONS – It refers to the headings or designations of
vertical columns rows.
4. STURBS – It refers to the headings of horizontal rows.
5. BODY – it contains data or numerical information .
6. UNIT OF MEASUREMENT – the unit of measurement of the
figures in the table should always be stated.
7.HEAD NOTES – it is given in small brackets in prominent
words just below the main title
8. SOURCE NOTE – it refers to the source from which
information has been taken.
9. FOOTNOTES
– it explains
specific feature
of the data
content of the
table which is
not self
explanatory and
has not been
explained
earlier.
