PRAYER AND

FASTING
PS. LARRY ALILURAN
INTRODUCTION:
God is an Omniscient God meaning an
“All Knowing God who knows everything”.

Why do we need to pray?

Will God only work as He
hears from our own life what
He already knows?
INTRODUCTION:
Feeding the Multitudes
(Matt 14:19; Mark 6:41; Luke 9:16)

Jesus looked up to heaven, why?

Because God the Father is the source of all
our needs and our prayers like Jesus does
connects the circuit of power where God
Himself is the source of energy.
INTRODUCTION:
Feeding the Multitudes
(Matt 14:19; Mark 6:41; Luke 9:16)
We are the transmission wires; the object of
prayer are the things to be energized and
that needs prayer to be switched. Prayer
cooperating with faith calls into being the
circumstances and material realities we
need for the service of God.
INTRODUCTION:
Before the world is changed, we must
be changed. PRAYER teaches and
transforms developing in our negative
lives a picture of Jesus. Prayer has no
rival in teaching us God dependence.
Only by awareness of Him will we grow
like Him.
INTRODUCTION:
When the Lord Jesus prayed on the
mountains with Peter, James, and John,
He changed (Luke 28:29). Jesus shone
like a light in whiteness. Like Moses (2
Cor. 3:7) when he prayed and fasted
after 40 days and 40 nights getting the
tablets of law.
