Diagnosis of
Depression
Using machine
learning
Introduction
Welcome to a groundbreaking project that
harnesses the power of artificial intelligence
to revolutionize the diagnosis of depression.

By combining these two essential elements, we aim to create a highly

accurate and accessible tool for diagnosing depression, paving the way
for more timely and effective interventions in mental health care.
Introduction
Our project merges symptom analysis and EEG wave patterns,
utilizing online datasets to create an innovative AI model for
depression diagnosis. Our goal is to deliver a precise, accessible,
and timely tool for mental health assessment, ushering in a new era
of depression diagnosis and treatment.
Objectives
1 2 3
Develop a robust AI algorithm Create a user-friendly interface Conduct comprehensive
capable of accurately detecting that allows for seamless validation studies involving
depression by analyzing online integration of our AI model into diverse populations to ensure the
symptom data and EEG wave clinical settings, enabling mental model's reliability and
patterns, achieving a diagnostic health professionals to effectiveness across various
precision rate of at least 90%. efficiently utilize our tool in demographics, ultimately
their practice. enhancing its utility as a global
mental health diagnostic
resource.
Literature Review
The literature review reveals a growing interest in using AI for depression
diagnosis.

However, limited integration of both factors and a need for more diverse
validation studies underscore the potential of our project to bridge existing gaps in
depression diagnosis research.
Proposed work
Our proposed work entails the development of an innovative AI model that
combines symptom analysis and EEG wave patterns for depression diagnosis,
using publicly available online datasets.
Real Time Usage
In real-time usage, our AI model will empower mental health practitioners to
swiftly and accurately diagnose depression.

This tool will enhance mental health care by providing efficient, data-driven
assessments in clinical settings.
Requirements
Hardware: A standard computer with sufficient processing power and memory for
AI model deployment, EEG data acquisition hardware (e.g., EEG headset).

Software: Machine learning frameworks (e.g., Random Forest, Decision Tree,

Logistic Regression, etc.), programming languages and related modules (e.g.,
Python, Seaborn, Numpy, Pandas, matplotlib.pyplot,), data preprocessing tools,
etc.
