Simple Present

Tense
Definition

Simple Present Tense is a simple sentence that is used to describe a daily


activity or daily habit. Present tense also states an action or activity that is
taking place or happening at the present time in a simple form.
Function
Simple Present Tense can be used as follows:
A. Used to express a habit that is carried out at a certain time
(habits).
Example: I only eat vegetables
B. Used to express an activity that is repeated (repeated actions).
Example : My parents are always at home on Sunday
C. Used to express a general truth, a general truth that
happens continuously (general truth)
Example: The sun rises in the east and sets in the west
D. Used to express an instruction or directions (instructions or directions)
Example: Open the bottle and pour the contents into glass
E. Used to express situations that do not change (fixed arrangements)
Example : Our new year starts on the 1st January
F. Used to express with future constructions (with future constructions)
Example : She'll see you before she leaves
