Modes of Transportation

modes of transportation?
Land Transportation
 Car- it is a four wheeled vehicle, powered by gasoline, electricity
or both forms that are used on roads.

 Coaster- this vehicle can approximately seat 24 to 28


passengers. Local and tourists use this mode when arranging
trips for smaller group.

 Bus Transport System- are used for both public and public
transportation for large groups.
 It carries passengers or cargo (first class, economy class
trips)
 Tricycle- local form of transportation that normally has a routing
which circulates within a specific area.

 Pedicab- local transportation is the non-motorized version of


tricycle and the radius area of operations is generally small.
Water Transportation
 Banca- the simplest and most common form of water
transportation.

 Ferry Boat - these are commuter boats for inter-island travel


in the Philippines, as well as in other countries.

 Yacht- this is a more private form of water transportation it is


personally owned transportation.

 Ocean Liners- this is a large water vessel that covers great


distances and cheaper costs for purpose of commuting and not
for recreation.

 Helicopter- it is type of aircraft that is powered by one or more


sets of rotors blades and can only accommodate a small group

 Gliders- type of air transportation that is dragged upward to


specify altitude and released glide with the wind.

 Hot Air Balloon- one of the oldest forms of air transportation


that is powered by ‘hot air’ being blown into the opening of a
big balloon with light’ wicker’ type basket attached to it to allow
carriage of two to three passenger.

BUDGET OR ECONOMY HOTELS- reasonably priced, relatively small,
and are not as furnished as the huge ones (no grand facilities and fewer
rooms)

BOTIQUE HOTELS- are normally small in size. (not fewer than 10
rooms)
CONDOTELS- rented out either as a hotel or a condo unit.
BED AND BREAKFAST (B&B)- normally accepts guests on a short term
basis (bed spacer or boarding houses which offers sightseeing and
entertainment)
