• GROWING ONION ROOT TIPS:

• Take a wide mouthed bottle and will wit with water. Place a large sized onion on the mouth of the bottle in such a way
that the roots of the onion should dip in water. Allow the roots to grow for a few days. Before cutting the root tips the
growing onion should be placed in sunlight for one hour. Remove the onion from bottle andOut the root tips of about 1-2
mm from the lowest end .
METHODS OF STAINING :

: The cell at different dividing stages would be observed. Note the position of the chromosomes in the cells to determine the specific stages
of cell during the process of division.
