THE BEGINNING
In early 2005, under the leadership of current Chairman
Dipak Basu, Actionaid and Reuters Foundation carried
out an ethnographic study in the Ganges Delta region,
which showed that economies of desperately poor and
marginalized people can be dramatically impacted by
increase of local employment. Anudip was set up
subsequently.
• 2007 - 2011 : Partners with local community NGOs,
and starts mobilization, IT training and placement
services across Odisha and West Bengal
• 2012 - 2014 : Expands across multiple states in
Jharkhand and Delhi to equip IT and ancillary skills
• 2015 - 2016 : Initiates digital inclusion program to
empower youth in the new economy
• 2017 - 2018 : Expands its first centre in USA and
across 10 Indian States with new at-risk communities
• 2019 -counting : Spreads across 18 Indian States and
3 Countries. Starts Relief work across vulnerable
communities since the pandemic 2020.
