Objectives:
● Describes what the students are supposed to learn at the
end of the session.
I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:

• Identify the introductory part of speech that serves purposes.


• Perform a speech introduction using the different techniques.
• Understand the importance of emotional engagement in speech introductions and
practice techniques to connect with the audience effectively.
II. SUBJECT MATTER

c. Materials: Chalk, Book, Laptop
Introduction
● Reviews the previous discussion or conducts a
motivational activity.
( prayer, greetings, checking of attendance, review,
checking of assignment)
III. PROCEDURE

A. Introduction
• Prayer
• Greetings
• Review
- Ask the students to pass their assignments
- Call three random students to cite the contents of their
assignments.
• Motivation
- The teacher will present a short video clip entitled “I am,
Umbrella”.
Interaction
● The discussion proper.
● Guide questions, examples and situations using
any IM’s.
● Student-teacher or student-student interaction is
present.
B. Interaction

- Proceed to the lesson proper.


- Introduce the topic.
- The teacher will discuss thoroughly, in relation with the video
presented.

Integration
● Values Integration- a channel of values development
through the teaching-learning activities in the different
learning areas.

Integrating values can promote citizenship, ethics, and


harmony among people.
C. Integration

1. A speech introduction is the opening segment of a speech or presentation


where the speaker introduces themselves, establishes the purpose of their
presentation and sets the stage for the main content that will follow. As a
student, how does incorporating personal stories or emotional anecdotes in
a speech introduction reflect the value of empathy towards your audience?
• Generalization
- Speech introduction gives the audience reason to the remainder of the
speech. A good introduction needs to get the audience’s attention, state the
topic, make the topic relatable, establis credibility, and preview the main
points.

Perform a speech introduction. You may use any of the techniques


in making your speech.
