Realizing an inclusive school
ecosystem
The school established and mobilized a holistic
Inclusive Education Program committee to
ensure the smooth running of the Inclusive
education programme.
Responsible for administration, management
and implementation of the program in
accordance with the guidelines provided.
Ensure that all school members are aware of and
understand the Inclusive Education Programme.
Responsible towards the planning of all inclusive
activities or programmes at the school level.
Monitor the implementation of the Inclusive
Education Programme periodically and ensure
adequate support is provided.
Assist in planning, coordinating and organising
the implementation of IE Programmes.
Assist in planning, coordinating and organising
the teaching aids and the welfare of CWSN.
To coordinate EMK (allowance for special needs
students)
Effective leaders must play the roles in creating a vision
about commitment of all school community towards
achieving excellence goals and success of all students
These high expectations will bridge the gaps among the
students
The shaping of the vision is important in ensuring
students success which is one of the crucial elements
for school administration
Effectives administrators will always ensure everyone
places the importance in T&L as the crucial daily
activity.
Conducive environment which focuses on safety, rules
and regulations , supportive behaviour, responsive
towards children’s views and teachers’ feelings.
Contribute to building a professional community which
is gearing towards good T & L.
Administrators play the role to shape a community that
can guide one another eg. teachers
Roles of Special Education Teacher and
Mainstream Teacher

Improve knowledge and skills that are


relevant to implementing effective inclusive
education
Serve all students fairly and equally.
The mainstream teacher works closely with
the Special Education teachers to ensure
the success of students with special needs
CWSN.
The mainstream teacher in Inclusive Class
has to be trained on how to handle the
CNWS.
For schools without PPKI, school needs to get a
help in training from teachers from neighbouring
schools which has PPKI, officers in Special
Education Services Center (3PK), District
Education Office, Department Of Educational
Department (JPN) or Division In Ministry.
CWSN in IEP learn using the standard national
curriculum.
Modification/Adaptation of teaching methods,
material preparation and delivery can be made to
suit the CWSN.
Medical report, students’ profile, test analysis
and performance records must be used to plan
the teaching and learning.
The mainstream teachers will write the daily
teaching plan (IEP) to ensure the teaching needs
of CWSN. Other than that, the individual
education plan (IEP) should be done to ensure
the appropriate intervention for the CWSN can be
executed.
For schools that have PPKI, the Special
Education teachers and mainstream teachers
must cooperate to plan the teaching & learning
(pdp) for CWSN appropriate cognitive level .
