OBJECTIVES
• To preserve the rich ornamentation of the tile mosaic, fresco paintings, brick
imitation, fountain and monuments etc.

• To conserve the cultural heritage and maintain them for present and future
generations.

OBSERVATIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS
• Observation 1 (Slow progress) The project was “Behind Schedule”. Project’s actual physical
progress was found out to be 40%.
• Recommendation: The pace of work needs to be expedited by the executing agency.
• Observation 2 (Inadequate funding): The scheme has been short funded with minimal funding
allocated each Fiscal Year,
• Recommendation: Adequate allocations and releases of funds in order to avoid time and cost
overrun.
• Observation 3 (Miscellaneous Shortcomings): The works on “Dewan-e-aam” & “Doulat
Khana” have been completed. It was observed that there were seepage issues and plaster
chipping in the corridor
• Recommendation: Executing agency need to work simultaneously and actively at all points in
order to achieve a thorough view of culturally rich heritage at proposed project.
