GSM Base Load Control and Bill
Notification and Monitoring System CONTENTS Introduction Principal Block Diagram Using Arduino Software Working Components Power Supply Advantages Application Introduction Electrical power has become indispensable to human survival and progress. Apart from efforts to meet growing demand, automation in the energy distribution is also necessary to enhance people’s life standard. Traditional meter reading by human operator is inefficient to meet the future residential development needs. So there is increased demand for Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) systems which collects meter readings electronically, and its application is expanding over industrial, commercial and utility environment. How it Works ? The ATmega2560 microcontroller acts as a heart of the System. This ATmega controls the entire operating system. The entire signal received by the GSM Module(SIM800L) is then judged by the ATmega and if there any signal from GSM module then operate the relay for power the home appliance. There are a current sensor which monitor the current passing through it and sent the current reading to microcontroller. Microcontroller calculate the power consumption and cost and displaying it to LCD. Principle This Project is based on ACS712 current sensor and Atmega-2560 microcontroller and the load can be operate using GSM communication. Beside this Bill information sent to user via SMS. Block Diagram Working Microcontroller Connected to load using Relay. GSM module is connect to Microcontroller. When Load operation is sent to GMS then Microcontroller operate load and measure passing current. After 5 min of operation it sent a sms to user. Arduino Mega Arduino Mega is one of the microcontroller boards manufactured by the Arduino and it is a microcontroller board based on Atmel’s ATmega2560 microcontroller. The Arduino Mega board has 16 analog inputs and 54 digital input/output pins GSM MODULE
A GSM module or a GPRS module is a chip or circuit
that will be used to establish communication between a mobile device or a computing machine and a GSM or GPRS system Current Sensor The ACS712 current sensor provides economical and precise solutions for AC or DC current sensing in home, industrial, commercial, and communications systems. Transformer A Transformer is a static electrical machine which transfers AC electrical power from one circuit to the other circuit at the constant frequency, but the voltage level can be altered that means voltage can be increased or decreased according to the requirement Rectification Circuit A rectifier is a circuit which converts AC to DC and this conversion process is called as rectification. In simple words, a rectifier converts the bi- directional flow of current to a unidirectional flow, which maintains a constant polarity across the load. LCD Display A liquid-crystal display (LCD) is a flat-panel display or other electronically modulated optical device that uses the light-modulating properties of liquid crystals combined with polarizers. Liquid crystals do not emit light directly, instead using a backlight or reflector to produce images in color or monochrome. Relay • A relay is defined as an electrically operated switch; their main use is controlling circuits by a low-power signal or when several circuits must be controlled by one signal. Buck Converter • A buck converter (step- down converter) is a DC- to-DC power converter, which steps down voltage from its input to its output. It will help to save time. The program we embedded in the microcontroller works as we predicted. According to the study and analysis of various parts of the system, this design has been carried out. The results obtained from the measurement shows that the system performs well under all the conditions. THANK YOU
