Introduction
As Bangladesh is an agriculture dependent country, the automation of small and
large scale agriculture is of colossal importance. Hence, applying microcontroller
technologies to agriculture would help detonate productivity in the Bangladeshi
agriculture. Sometimes, it may not be possible for a person to be concerned about
the field/farm atmosphere always being present there. In order to lessen this
problem, a project is proposed for monitoring the environment of an agricultural
field wheretemperature sensor (DHT22), Carbon Dioxide (MQ-5) sensor and soil
sensor are associated with Arduino board which record heat, toxicity and moisture
of soil as well as display in LCD monitor. Moreover, while the readings outrange
the threshold level, a SMS will be sent to farmer’s cell phone via GSM module
automatically. As a result, the agriculturistis able to get information automatically
even if he is not physically present there.

Applications
This project can be used at
 Agricultural Field
Research Field
Mushroom cultivation
Orchid Cultivation
Rooftop Gardening
Advantages
Cost effective
Low power consumption
It is economical
Less manpower required
Time conscious, as less time required for voting & counting
Limitations
 The Project is based on electronics equipment which may affected by
rain water.
 In this project we use only three sensor.
 Temperature, Humidity, carbon dioxide and soil moisture can be
monitor.
 Power source is required due to operate the project, it means AC line
needs to be supply.
Future Scope
Number of sensor can be add to measure wide range of
data.
IOT can be implement to monitor sensor data from
anywhere.
Different sensor like PH sensor can add to monitor more
parameter.
Conclusion

 The developed system is Simple and cost effective than most other systems

present in the market. It measures different environmental conditions. It

includes measurement of atmospheric temperature, relative humidity and
soil temperature, etc. System uses wireless GSM module for the data
transfer, communication purpose. So it can be use in open fields
