RESOURCE CONSTRAINTS AND

CONCEPTUAL COST MODELLING

IN CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

GUIDE Prof . Jyothi mam

Submitted by APARNA S RAJ
ABSTRACT
 The aim of the project is to determine how much of resource and the
cost is needed to complete the construction work.
 In manually it is very difficult to calculate the cost and the resource that
is needed to complete the project .
 So that here we are using Artificial Neural Network.
 Here in this proposed project 2 algorithms are using
 Fuzzy cluster and artificial intelligence
 Fuzzy cluster is an external memory and artificial intelligence is an
external memory.
 In artificial immural network there are 3 layers
 Input layer , Hidden layer & Output layer
 In input layer there are 2 datas test data and trained data.
 According to the client desire the data can be analysed from the
trained data using artificial neural network.
 If the client desired project idea is not in the trained data then new
project design with the client specification has to implement
INTRODUCTION
 Resource constraints occur when project managers do not have enough
resource to meet the demand and outcome of a project.
 Conceptual cost estimating is a methodology to attain total project cost
at early stages of a project.
 Conceptual cost estimation can used to develop long range plans
benefit-cost analysis,funding appliications and alternatives.
 Project can fail due to the improper resource constraits and cost
modeling.
 Here by using this method its easy to determine how much of resource
and cost is needed to complete the work depending on the clients
desire by using matlab software.
 Here by using matlab software we can easily calculate the conceptual
cost .
 By using the fuzzy cluster we can easily find which design is more
convenient for the user using tested and trained data.
 The fuzzy cluster can automatically recover when it fail.

CONCLUSION
 This project summarizes the development of a cost estimation model using
artificial neural networks and a back-propagation algorithm.

 Sustainable construction cost plays a vital role in sustainable development. A

systematic approach is essential to model the conceptual cost for sustainable
construction project financing.

 The development of neural network model to estimate the conceptual cost of

construction projects for sustainable project planning has gained considerable
interest among researchers and practitioners.

 The best prediction of conceptual costs helps the project managers in taking
proactive actions for execution of sustainable construction
 An ANN model can be a useful tool to assist the project managers
in predicting the conceptual cost.

 The developed model in this project is valuable and provides a

holistic view for the construction professionals regarding
sustainable construction planning, thereby enhancing their
capability in this regard.
