Breathing involves the diaphragm, a dome-shaped muscle beneath the lungs. When
we inhale, the diaphragm contracts, pulling down and expanding the chest cavity,
allowing air to rush into the lungs. As we exhale, the diaphragm relaxes, and air is
expelled.
Proper diaphragmatic breathing, where the diaphragm engages fully, promotes
vitality. It optimizes oxygen exchange, fueling our cells, and removes excess
carbon dioxide, aiding detoxification.
