What is Weather?
Weather is what the sky and
air outside are like each day.
Let’s find out about different
kinds of weather we
experience each day!
 SUNNY
Sunny weather is when the sun is
shining in the sky. It's a bright and
happy day! We wear sunglasses and
hats to protect our eyes from the sun.
 CLOUDY
Cloudy weather is when the sky
is covered with clouds.
The sun hides behind the clouds.
It can be a little dark on cloudy
days.
WINDY
Windy weather is when there is a
breeze in the air - the leaves and
trees sway. It can make the air feel
cooler.
 RAINY
Rainy weather is when water falls from
the sky. We use umbrellas and raincoats
to stay dry. Puddles are fun to jump in!
SNOWY
Snowy weather is when tiny
ice crystals fall from the sky. It
covers the ground in white.

We can build snowmen and

have snowball fights!
STORMY
Stormy weather has thunder and
lightning. It can be loud and scary.
Stay inside and be safe during a
storm!
 WILD
WEATHER
Wild weather can be very exciting!
It can have strong winds, heavy rain, and
even tornadoes.

We need to be safe and listen to grown-ups

during wild weather.
 RAINBOW
After the rain goes away, sometimes we
see a rainbow in the sky.

Rainbows are colorful and beautiful!

They have many colors like red,
orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
