of each student planting one tree and name will
may be given on the name of student who plant
the tree it encourage student to contribute to
environmental conservation by panting trees and
raising awareness about the importance of trees
in ecosystem.

• THE “One Student One Tree ‘’ program was
launched to encourage students to actively
participate in environmental conservation
efforts by planting trees. It aims to instill a
sense of responsibility and awareness among
students about the importance of tree in
combating climate change and preserving
ecosystem.

conservation efforts.
 Increasing the number of trees to combat
deforestation and climate change.
 Enhancing the beauty and greenery of school

Impact of “one student one tree”
The “One Student One Tree” has positive impact
on society. It promote environmental awareness
among students, encourage them to take active
role in conservation efforts, and increases the
number of trees to combat deforestation and
climate change. The program also enhances the
beauty of school campuses as well as society
while providing educational opportunities for
student to learn about nature and ecosystem.
FEATURES OF “ONE STUDENT ONE TREE”

• The “One Student One Tree” is said the dream


project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
• The scheme is launched the Union ministry,
and the Kendriya Vidyalayas from all over the
country will come under the scheme.
• The campaign is to fulfill the initiative of Zero
Liquid Discharge in order to save water
through recycling it.
• The aim of the campaign is to plant one
million saplings all over the country to restore
the environment and the greenery in the
country.
• Under this campaign the Zero Liquid Discharge
initiative is mandatory for all the schools, and
it is said very soon it will be implemented.
• The union government of Delhi Government
wants to recycle the water as much as it can
be in all the schools
• Under the initiative, thee water wastage can be
reduced through the recycling process
especially in the schools compounds.
• Along with that, the campaign wants to create
awareness among the schools students , and for
that the government will form an eco club.
• To make the campaign work the government
will be re-launching a program called
‘Deeksharambh’ that will have all the guidelines
regarding saving the environment and help to
create bond with students & environment.
How this help in recycling water.
The ‘One Student One Tree’ program helps in
recycling water by promoting tree planting. Trees
absorb water through their roots, which helps
reduce off and improve water infiltration into the
soil. They also release water vapor through a
process called transpiration, which contribute to
the water cycle. Additionally trees provide shade
which helps reduce evaporation from ground.
Overall, the program play crucial role in conserving
water.
