Dominicans say the rosary following an ancient

custom which differs slightly from the way most

Catholics say it. They follow the medieval custom of
beginning the Rosary like the Office of the Blessed
Virgin Mary—for the Rosary is known as Mary’s
prayer.
•The leader and group begin the Rosary with the sign of the cross.
•Then they lead and respond alternately the parts for the opening prayers.
•The leader announces the title of each Mystery (and may give a short mediation),
then is joined by one half the group in starting each of the prayers for the first, third
and fifth mysteries.
•The second group responds to conclude prayers.
•After the leader announces the titles of the second and fourth Mysteries, the second
group leads, and the first responds.
•At each concluding prayer, the leader and the whole group alternate the responses
as indicated.
If you mean approved by the Catholic Church for use by laity, yes, the Imprimatur is necessary. In most cases, this will
be accompanied by notice of a Nihil obstat, but not always, because the imprimatur assumes the nihil obstat. It is the
final step required for official publication.
Approved Bible editions differ by nationality. That sounds strange, until you consider that the official scriptures for the
Catholic Church are to be found in the latin Vulgate. These days, the Nova Vulgata - Bibliorum Sacrorum Editio.
Anything else is merely an approved “translation,” even if it was actually translated from original languages. So use in
a particular region is determined by the bishops of that region.
Christian life is based on the
conviction that God has spoken to
us, acted among us, and revealed
Himself to us through words and
deeds. Therefore, if we want to
learn more about God and our
Christian faith, we must begin
with the Bible.
