Background and Vision

The Government of India, along with State Governments, has been striving continuously for

saturation of schemes, like

• Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (April - May 2018)

• Extended Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (June - August 2018)


• "Achieving saturation, coverage of schemes and ensuring last mile delivery of flagship
schemes" - National Conference of Chief Secretaries at Dharamshala, HP
Taking the same forward, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is planned - to raise awareness
through outreach activities to achieve saturation of schemes.
Objectives

• Reaching the unreached - reach out to the vulnerable who are eligible under various
schemes but have not benefited.

• Dissemination of information and generating awareness about schemes.

• Learning from the citizens - Interaction with beneficiaries of government schemes


through personal stories / experience sharing.

• Enrolment of potential beneficiaries through details ascertained during the Campaign.


Key Features of the Campaign

• To be launched in 75 districts having significant ST population from 15th November 2023


(Jan-Jaatiya Gaurav Divas) and in other districts from 3rd week of November 2023.
• Sankalp Yatra will be launched on 15 th Nov. in 7 tribal districts of odisha & the
remaining districts from 3 rd week of Nov onwards up to 26th Jan,2024..
• Activities planned in GPs over a week - Mobilisation, Awareness, Community Activities,
Cultural Performances, etc.
• IEC vans for information dissemination.
• IT Platform, Mobile Responsive Platform to be used.
• Local context & local language.
• Planning Coordination and Monitoring - State, District & Gram Panchayat & Urban Local
Body Level Committees and Central Government Organizations/ Institutions.

• Overall coordination and monitoring of the Campaign in the State/UTS


• Issue of circular by the states to districts articulating roles, responsibilities and actions to be taken as
a follow up of the circular issued by the Govt. of India.
• Constitution of State/ District Level Committees (co-opt 2-3 representatives from central
organisation/ institutions) and GP Level Committees (Utsav Samiti and Swagat Samiti) and
coordination to oversee the campaign implementation.
• Van Route Map and Venue finalisation
