NEWTON'S LAWS

OF MOTION

DONE BY: PRIYANSHI

SHAH
NEWTON'S FIRST LAW OF MOTION:
• Newton's first law states that: An object at rest remains at rest, or if in motion, remains in
motion at a constant velocity unless acted on by a net external force.
NEWTON'S SECOND LAW OF MOTION:
• Newton's second law of motion states that: F = ma, or net force is equal to mass times
acceleration. A larger net force acting on an object causes a larger acceleration, and objects
with larger mass require more force to accelerate.
NEWTON'S THIRD LAW OF MOTION:
• Newton's third law states that: For every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite
reaction. If object A exerts a force on object B, object B also exerts an equal and opposite force on
object A. In other words, forces result from interactions.
