Definition
1. Classroom management is ways of organizing the
resources, students and class so that the teaching and the
learning can process in an efficient and safe manner.

2. Classroom management refers to the strategies, methods,

and practices employed by teachers to create an organized
and productive learning environment.

3. Classroom management is the practices, activities and
techniques that allows teacher to teach and student to
learn well.

Note: Classroom management begins when instructor enters

in the class and it ends when instructor leaves.
Advantages of an Effective Classroom 7
Management
1. The lesson is enjoyable.
2. The lesson is more effective and productive.
3. It improves students interest, attention and participation.
4. It helps to maintain a positive learning environment.
5. It helps to apply teaching and learning smoothly and
easily.
6. It enables students to listen more with full attention.
7. Rules of the academy and class are established.
8. Respect continues between teacher and students.

1. The lesson is not enjoyable.
2. The lesson is boring.
3. Students do not focus on the lesson.
4. Lesson plan takes much time to be accomplished.
5. Learning is less.
6. Students become more disruptive and aggressive.
7. It is more challenging and hard to continue.
Strategies & Ways for an Effective 10
Classroom Management
1. Explain the whole class plan completely at the first
day of the class.
2. Lead your class and understand you are the only
leader who completely control the class.
3. Engage the students in your teaching process. Give
chances to them to participate with you.
4. Treat the students with the same respect you demand.
5. Express the main goal of the lesson at the end of the
class.

6. Team up with others in the classroom. Ask them to help you
in applying the rules.
7. Switch the activities if the students get out of control.
8. Ask other teachers about their skills and techniques they use
for controlling the classroom.
9. Prepare yourself, lesson plan and class physical setting. such
as: board, fan, cooler, light, furniture arrangement.
10. Make sure you have essential and needed materials such as:
marker, duster, book, board, mp3, projector and attendance
sheet.

10. Establishing the academy and your own class rules facilitate
the learning and has the best consequence at the end.
11. Talk informally with students about their interests.
12. Use time in its proper way.
13. Call often students family regarding their absences, laziness
and late coming.
14. Set eyes on whole class and students during the class.
15. Take out and remove the factors which cause disruption.
16. Stand at a place where all students are visible to you.

17. Call, clap, knock the board or any other ways you know to
attract the attention of the student.
18. Be patient and calm even in emergency situation and do not
make small problems bigger.
19. Never stand at one place all the time. Walk inside the class in
order to have full control on your class.

Students
1. Keep naughty students busy, make them take part in all
activities and never give chances for disturbing the
classroom management.
2. Reward the students when they answer to your
question and do good things.
3. Talk to naughty students lonely and separately and give
free advice. This is better than among the students.
4. Emphasize on their strong points. It is almost rare for a
student to be out of positive points. Some are good at
reading, vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar.

5. Change the places of learners. It assists to reduce the
quantity of the class noise. Usually they sit at the end of
class, because it is a blind place where they think you have
less control on it.
6. Understand learners situations, condition, and behavior.
Do not expect them to behave the same way as a regular
students does. They come from various places, families,
and minds. Your kindness and attention could decrease
their sadness and anger.
The Don’ts not to be done in the 18

1. Do not call students with bad names and words.
2. Do not show your weak point to students as this will
put you in big danger.
3. Do not be more free with students. Otherwise it cause
you to lose your leadership.
4. Never lose patience.
5. Never fight and argue.
6. Never shout in the class. Because it shows your
weakness point.

7. Never treat learners differently. Respect them the same.
8. Do not enter to the class without any preparation.
