Paragraph structure
An opinion paragraph has three main parts:
• A topic sentence stating the topic and opinion of
the writer
• Supporting sentences giving the viewpoints with
examples/reasons
• A concluding sentence restating the opinion using
different words

Mothers should return to work after they have children if they want to.

Should mothers stay at home with their children?


I believe that mothers should return to work after they have
children if they want to. Firstly, mothers who go back to work are
good role models because their children see that they can achieve
what they want. That means, by looking at their mothers, children
can see how a woman can make her own choices in life. Secondly,
going to work allows women to be independent because it builds
up their self-confidence and they can help the family meet their
financial needs. To sum up, I believe that the benefits of working
mothers are great. They can build up their self-confidence by
working and are good examples for their children.
