Overview
Toyota makes the most effective use of its development, when it comes to innovation of high
efficiency automobiles.

They have a sustainable competitive advantage by focusing on long term planning, instead of
following “trends”.

They are also known for having several years of sustained production that makes high quality, safe,
reliable and durable products.
Long Term Planning
Toyota will lead the future mobility society, enriching lives around the world with the safest and most

responsible ways of moving people.

Through the commitment of quality, ceaseless innovation, and respect for the planet, they have always strived

when it comes to exceeding expectations.

The Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050 aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals and reflects their

commitment to work with stakeholders across society in support of a cleaner and more sustainable future.
And Toyota wants to reduce CO2 emissions and achieve carbon-
neutrality globally by 2050, for our vehicles and operations. Our
commitment goes further, by improving water usage, promoting
end-of-life and recycling technologies, and establishing a society in
harmony with nature.
Their Environmental Beneficial
Changes
One of Toyota’s main factors that took a massive part of their success in most of their
motors, is developing their engines based on what is safer for the environment.

Even though they have produced some high fuel consumption engines. They
manufactured their daily-used vehicles to have low fuel consumption engines. And
that that was challenging to compete with, especially in the 2000s era.
Toyota also made sure to use as less energy as possible and minimize waste to

the least amount.

And, in late 1997 they have domestically launched the Prius. Which was the

world’s first ever mass-produced petrol-electric hybrid vehicle. “ Toyota was the

first manufacturer to overcome the numerous technical and engineering issues

necessary to bring this powertrain into mass production”.

With the growth of their hybrid vehicles, they are now optimizing
their research as well as their product development to produce high-
efficiency vehicles. It will be advantageous for them if they switch
their production to entirely electric.
Nature in Toyota
In addition to helping fight climate change, clean energy contributes
to a healthier/safer environment for all. That’s why Toyota’s recent
agreement with Clearway Energy Group to purchase electricity from
a wind farm, is a step in the green direction. This purchase of
renewable electricity supports the company’s global goal to make
their production carbon-neutral by the year 2035.
Their Sustainable Competitive
Advantage
The major advantages that Toyota have are their prices, their durability
reputation, the manufacturer’s firm dedication when it comes to introducing
new technologies, and their high-efficiency products which have both quality
and low prices.

Also, when introducing a new green technology vehicle to the market. They
focus on the wanted features with the product that other industries have not
developed yet.
They are also are competing against Tesla, with their hybrid being
around $30,000 , Tesla’s lowest model is Tesla Model 3 and it’s
around $45,000 .

They have high potential when it comes to showing consumers how

well their product is far down the road.
In conclusion
They successfully contributed in the current growing green-technology. Along with, them having

a promising vision for the next years.

They got the ability to compete with other industries and get chosen over them.

One of their privileges, is having a great vision for the future.

Showing durability and reliability.

Recommendations & Suggestions
We believe that:

Toyota should go for it, and shoot their shot in the long run by aiming to produce full electric cars.

They should expand their business by introducing new features or technologies that satisfy the needs of each
country’s market. Especially ones that are efficient in the hottest countries.

They should aim to reduce their total use of energy, as well as reduce the amount of total waste.

They should add other higher, more efficient, and environmental vehicle options.

They should beat other industries by developing newer technologies.
