MAKING APPOINTMENT

THE PURPOSES OF THIS PRACTICUM

Students are able to say the expressions in making an


appointment, suggest time to meet, approve an agreement,
and cancel an appointment. The phrases are conveyed in
English.
Making appointments is an effective way to manage your time and be more productive. It helps
you stay organized, prioritize tasks, and get more done in less time. It also allows you to set clear
expectations with yourself and others so that you can meet your goals and objectives

Making Appointment:
• Can we meet on the 14th?
• Can we meet next Friday?
• Are you available on the 14th?
• Are you free next week?
• Let’s meet this evening.
• When can I talk to you?
• Can I meet you tomorrow afternoon?
• How about tomorrow afternoon?
• Is next Monday convenient for you?
• Do you have any time available this week?
• When would be a good time to meet you?
• Would today evening be all right?
• Can you give me an appointment on Sunday?
Accepting or Confirming an Appointment:

• Sure. I’ll come.


• Yes, Sunday is fine.
• Friday would be perfect.
• I’ll be there at that time.
• Wednesday suits me.
• Please confirm if this date and time is suitable (convenient) for you.
Cancelling / Rejecting an Appointment:

• Sorry. I have another appointment at that time.


• I’m sorry. I can’t come.
• I’m afraid I can’t on the 14th.
• I’m sorry, I won’t be able to make it on Sunday.
• Sorry. I don’t think I can make it.
Cancelling a previous engagement or appointment:

• Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen business, I will be unable to keep our


appointment for tomorrow afternoon.
• Would it be possible to arrange another time later in the week?
• I’m afraid that I have to cancel our meeting on Wednesday, as something
unexpected has come up.
• Would you be free to meet early next week?
