It is the ability to think in terms of models, frameworks
and broad relationships such as long range plans. It deals
with ideas while human skill concerns relationship with
people and technical skills involves psychomotor skills and
things.

AUTOCRATIC LEADERS
• Leaders do decision making by themselves.
• Individual Control overall decisions and little
input from group members.
• Autocratic leaders typically make choices based
on their ideas and judgments and rarely accept
advice from followers.
CONSULTATIVE LEADERS
• They allow participation of the members of the
organization by consulting them but make the
decision themselves.
• This is what happens in consultation meetings
called by schools when they increase tuition fees
or any school activity to be approved
• Leaders consult with their team to obtain their
suggestions and opinions to help them make
informed and strategic decisions.
DEMOCRATIC LEADERS
• They allow the members of the organization to
fully participate in decision making.
• Decisions are arrived at by way of consensus.
• This is genuine participation of the members of
the organization which is in keeping with school
empowerment.
• A democratic leader is someone who asked for
input and considers feedback from their team
before making a decision.
LAISSEZ FAIRE LEADERS
• It is also called as free-rein leadership style.
• Leaders avoid responsibility and leave the
members of the organization to establish their
own work.
• Leads to Kanya-kanya Mentality

Ms. Severino is the Principal of Marangal
Paaralang Elementarya ng Taguig. She insist to
hava a meeting regarding about the
renovation of the classrooms for Grade 11.
She asked from the opinion of the department
heads regarding about the possible designs
and financial matters of the project.
What is the leadership style being applied?
Mr. Roel is a newly hired principal in Marolo
Integrated High School. It is his first time as a
principal. He let his colleagues and employees
decide for the schedule of the Recognition Day
because it needs to be submitted at the DepEd
Main Office.
